Lace up your trainers, rally your girlfriends and join Women’s Running this Summer for their 10k and 5k running events in Finsbury and Brockwell Park.
Sunday 7 June and Sunday 27 September will see one of London’s most celebrated parks, Finsbury Park, filled with mothers, daughters, colleagues, friends and family taking to the start line. Whether you’re looking to run in your first race or you’re hunting down a Personal Best finishing time, the 5k and 10k options make for the perfect race day.
Sunday 13 September, the penultimate race of the 2015 Women’s Running Race Series, is being held in Brockwell Park, promising a lively, fun and supportive atmosphere. 2014 race finisher, Charlotte Liddell says: ‘I felt nervous… but the whole atmosphere was so positive. Everyone’s support on the day made it really memorable.’
The 2015 Women’s Running Race Series is proud to partner with the nationwide initiative, This Girl Can and looks forward to welcoming hundreds of newcomers to the running community on race day. Race Director, David Castle, says: “The Women’s Running 10K Series was created to provide events for female runners of all abilities to run together in a friendly and fun environment to achieve their personal targets. The atmosphere on the day is always amazing. Whether you’re first or last across the line, it doesn’t matter; what matters is that you’ve joined a group of like-minded women united in their love for the sport of running.
“Women run our events for so many different reasons, whether it’s for charity or for fitness, we celebrate every single one of them. We look forward to building on the success of the 10K Series with more female competitors, more races, and more fantastic stories of sporting endeavour!”
All entrants will receive a free goody bag filled with quality kit and nutritional goods, an event tshirt and race medal. A range of pacers will support runners throughout the race, ensuring you reach the finish line in your goal time.
